NEW YORK — Lux Beauty Salon is opening its doors in New Yorkers neighborhoods to the general public this weekend, the company announced Wednesday.
Lux Salon is owned by the company that owns the New York City skyline and is the flagship of L’Oreal, according to the New Jersey-based cosmetics company.
L’Oronte, which is owned jointly by L’OrĂ©al and L’Occitane, has been open in Manhattan since the late 1970s.
The salon is located at 728 East 59th Street and will offer makeup and skincare treatments in a new, three-story building.
The space will also include a beauty bar and a retail store, according the company.
The New York area has a thriving makeup and beauty industry, with more than 5,000 makeup and hair salon locations and about 3,400 salons in total.
