It’s been a long time coming.
I’m finally getting to smile again.
And yes, I’ve been having a pretty good week.
I got the first of two visits to my local beauty salon this week, which was the most fun I’ve had in years.
My jaw feels great, my neck is great, and my teeth are back.
My hair is great.
I’ve got a lot of new friends and family.
And I have a new job.
It’s all really exciting.
I love the NFL and I love my new job, but I am also a football fan.
I have been a member of the NFLPA for nearly a decade, so I am fully immersed in the league’s story, and I have seen so much of the game.
The NFL’s journey to where it is today, the league being one of the most successful sports leagues in the world, and the fans supporting the game are a part of that story.
So I love being a part, but this is where I’m happiest.
I feel like I’m a part player.
I don’t think I have ever been so happy.
My goal with this week is to get back to playing, so that I can play even more.
And then I have to take a step back and enjoy the day, which is really important.
I want to make sure I’m getting enough rest and I’m eating right and enjoying myself.
And my goal is to have a good season and I’ll be OK.
I need to be in the best shape of my life to be able to do that.
But that’s my goal, and that’s where I am.
My life is the best it’s ever been, and it’s the best I can be.
And if that’s the case, I’ll do everything in my power to be back on the field as soon as possible.
I just need to make a conscious decision to not be playing anymore.
My body is telling me to get better.
I can’t do it anymore.
So when I get the phone call, it’s like, oh, man.
It feels like I finally have a smile again, and to get on that phone and tell them that is amazing.
It means a lot.
Thank you to my family, my teammates, my fans, and everyone else who’s been cheering for me.
My heart goes out to my mom, who was waiting for me to call and she’s the reason I have this smile.
I’ll keep you guys posted as I go through this process.
And thank you to all my sponsors and everyone who has supported me, and hopefully my new friends who I have found.
So thanks for believing in me.
I know I’ll make it.
I will make it, I promise you.
I am so excited for what I am going to do next year, and for my future in the NFL.
I really want to be a Hall of Famer.
But I’m also ready for a new challenge and a new beginning, so when I’m able to go to my new life, I want it to be the best and the best of it.
And that’s why I’m excited to get started on the new season.
It was a blessing.
It will be a blessing for me and my family and my friends and my fans.
So thank you.
